I. SUMMARY 

THE PROBLEM: Existing social networks incentivize posing (only showing the bright side / lying about our life). The lack of honesty – hiding our fundamentally imperfect nature – inhibits human connections, since people must need each other to connect, that can not be found out if everybody is „Perfect”.
 
OUR SOLUTION: Bravery to show one’s true (imperfect!) Self is a magic that attracts other people, and can not be resisted. We provide new incentives for our users to dare to show their real, imperfect, flawed, human Self – much like Airbnb brought new incentives for people to open their homes to strangers.
 
PURPOSE: Humania revolves around showing our true self, by sharing Experience Cards. Our Goal is to provide strong enough motivation for people to Be Real (= honest) by the promise of Free Advice, Romantic Relations, New Friends, Community, opportunity to „Pay it Forward” to Society and/or to Make Money.
 
Humania is a paradigm shift in social networking, a massively multiplayer new social game – „The Game of Life” – that helps people solve life’s challenges and advance on the Prodigal Son’s Journey. Humania is New Life Incubator for over a billion people.

Humania is a Social Gaming Network to help people solve life’s challenges, find Truth, Meaning and Community through
(1) understanding our unique personal development model: “The Map of Life”
(2) showing their true (imperfect!) self by sharing “life-experience Cards”
(3) enlisting other, more experienced people as Mentors
(4) completing Challenges crated by other users
(5) joining peer-support groups online as well as in real life
(6) experiencing their value by mentoring with their own experiences
(7) forming local peer-support groups, becoming Leader in our Movement
 
 
“The Map of Life” is an evolution of Jung’s archetypes and The Hero’s Journey, by Campbell. It is closely related to The Prodigal Son’s Journey of the Bible.

Progress

We have an MVP people like and pay for.
We have early revenue.
 
We are learning and iterating and learning and iterating towards PMF.
 
Main milestones so far are as follows.
 
 
MVP 1.0 – SOCIAL NETWORK – Spring, 2024
Adoption was very weak. We learned that being a social network is not focused enough. We eliminated content/social features to concentrate on user profiles and experience cards.
 
 
ANGEL / CROWD FINANCING – Winter, 2024
We Raised 50K from our early users – mostly from total strangers we never met, via a link in the footer of the MVP using the YC Safe.
 
 
MVP 2.0 – MENTOR NETWORK & SOCIAL GAMING – Spring, 2025
We tried being a mentor network AND a social gaming platform with a built in game – The Game of Life – „hidden” inside. Results were better, people used it, but not strong enough for PMF.
 
 
MVP 3.0 – THE GAME OF LIFE – Summer, 2025
We eliminated being a platform and focused solely on being The Game of Life – where people help each other advance using „The Map of Life”, that is the Prodigal Son’s Journey.
 
 
NEXT – NEW APP – Fall, 2025
We are starting our next fundraising round in order to build next, much more professional version of our App based on the learnings.
 
 

Tech stack

Our web platform is based on Next.js (React). We’re planning to use React Native and Nest.js for building the mobile app. We’re using GitHub’s Copilot for generic coding assistance, Claude for specific coding tasks and Perplexity for research. ChatGPT helps us ascertain initial „The Game” levels (1-12) for new users based on experience cards they shared.

Why?

Loneliness is a great challenge of our age – we think that it is not the people who are the problem, but the rules (incentive structures)  of the social games they play, a.k.a Facebook & Co. 

Humanity NEEDS a better game.

Humania – on the surface – is a Market Network for Life Experiences, that is a revolutionary new Gamified  Social Network for Connecting New People You Should Know around shared experiences.

While on a deeper level:

Humania is a paradigm shift in social networking to help people (1) overcome loneliness by brave honesty about being imperfect, (2) advance on the Prodigal Son’s Journey, (3) find their Place in Life, (4) further the Creation with their talents. 

We think of Humania as a massively multiplayer social game – The Game of Life for advancing the Kingdom of God by furthering the Brotherhood of Man.  

Humania’s purpose is involving 1 billion people in the journey of the Prodigal Son – that has also happened to us.

1. was very successful .com entrepreneur in my 20s
2. I was arrogant and had f…ed up my life by 29
3. started writing about it with brave honesty
4. strangers came to me to talk
5. they started giving me money for my time

7. developed a Pers. Dev. method called Ego Mastery & built a School
8. am now watched by hundreds of thousands, people recognize me on the street
 
I want to open up the path I discovered – I want other people to discover their worth. Through honesty = being bravely imperfect.
 
Everybody has something, some valuable experience they can give to others. IF they “just” dare be honest.

Facebook we disrupt by building a better social network, that is more useful, more fulfilling to use, where people can make money by just sharing their experiences honestly and by mentoring each other by just being their true self. Thus we will be more addictive.
 
It is our Goal to catch up with Facebook, and make them obsolete.

– posing (showing best self) leads to loneliness
– being imperfect attracts other people
 
 
2. Therapy we disrupt by empowering and motivating people share their experiences and contact relevant strangers with relevant experiences. Helping each other with experiences has worked for humanity since the dawn of our race.
 
It is our Goal to establish experience based help next to therapy.
 
Our understanding over them:
– professional therapy does not allow for therapist to show their person
– a mentor who experienced similar situation is more credible than a professional

Religions we disrupt by providing the Map of the Prodigal Son’s Journey, that leads to discovery of our better self, happier life – that leads to the Creator. We empower local Humania groups to form for sharing experiences, that will also deal with the Meaning of Life / God.

Our understanding over them:
– dogmas (rules) do not work for modern rational individualistic people
– a journey of discovery, a Quest, a Game is more effective to evangelize

People talk to LLMs for companionship / advice / help – but in our experience this is no competition for us but help.
 
For most people it is difficult to start talk about failures / imperfections /shame. It is great that they start talking to an AI assistant – they will seek real human connection soon enough.
 
It is our Goal to be the App to meet New People One Should Know.

We charge Membership Fees for advanced tiers of the Game of Life.

We strongly believe in local languages, and build on local champions / communities. Therefore we do not go US first, for the US is too great for us to tackle at once.

III. BACKGROUND

First version of the idea (and the name Humania) came to me (Istvan) in 2015, while on our honeymoon in Sicily.
 
Then for years I wanted it to also be a social platform, where people mostly interact online (like Mighty Networks or Discord) – I built a proof of concept using Mighty and WordPress and WooCommerce to see if people pay for non professional help. (It had a 66% NPS.)
 
We started talking with Gábor & Co (the Dev Team) in 2022 – we did a thorough planing, yet we could not start developing for another year… Eventually a sentence from Gábor cleared the fog: QUIT TRYING TO BE A SOCIAL NETWORK.
 
We started working in earnest in 2023. Part time still. 2024 we spent experimenting & learning – until „the great pivot” came towards The Game of Life approach, Summer of 2025.
 
Presently I – Steve – am (almost) full time: working on product (testing & features), customer relations, GTM.
 
The guys are building Humania part time for now while they also make money as “developers for hire”. Investment is the key for us to build Humania full time.
